Walking Tacos
Taco night eaten straight from the bag: seasoned beef, cheddar, salsa, sour cream, and lettuce layered over chips in single-serve bags, for about $1.92 a serving with no dishes to wash. It is objectively a gimmick, and it is also the dinner that gets everyone to the table and keeps children quiet for twenty minutes. A pound of beef fills six bags comfortably, and everything else is a topping you set out in bowls. Good for a party, a sleepover, a camping trip, or a night when you cannot face the sink. Use a fork, and don't overfill the bags.

Steps
- 1Brown the ground beef with the taco seasoning, 6–7 minutes; drain excess fat.
- 2Open each chip bag and lightly crush the chips inside.
- 3Spoon the seasoned beef into the bags.
- 4Top with cheddar, salsa, sour cream, and lettuce; eat straight from the bag with a fork.
Tips & swaps
- Ground turkey or a plant-based crumble both take the same taco seasoning.
- Use regular-size chip bags and crush them lightly so the toppings stay on top.
- Set out a squeeze bottle of sour cream — it is much easier than a spoon.
- Leftover beef becomes quesadilla filling the next day.
